Bale Grist Mill State Historic Park
Located three miles north of St. Helena on Highway 29, the water-powered grist mill was built in 1846 to ground corn and wheat into meal or flour. A trail connects the historic park to Bothe-Napa Valley State Park.
Bothe-Napa Valley State Historic Park
Located 5 miles north of St. Helena, the park's 2000 acres is ideal for walking and hiking. Some of the more popular trails lead to nearby Bale Grist Mill State Historic Park and a grove of redwoods. Also, a horseback riding concession operates out of the park during summer and fall.

Hot Air Ballooning
One of the most popular activities -- second to wine tasting -- is hot air ballooning. There is nothing like floating across the vineyards at 6:00 AM.
Castello Di Amorosa - The Castle

Elmshaven
This stately country Victorian residence -- known since 1900 as Elmshaven -- was built in 1885 by railroad developer and executive Robert H. Pratt and served as a vacation home to the Pratt family until 1900.
