How to Make the Most of Crush Season

Harvest Season has arrived in Napa Valley! Also known as Crush Season, this period of time from August through October is when grapes reach their peak ripeness. While tending to the grapevines is a year-round process, now is the time that workers rush to pick their grapes. You will notice a lot of wineries will host harvest parties and grape stomping events to commemorate this time. Check out more information below for how to make the most of this Crush Season!

Starting this Saturday, August 19th, you can enjoy a Harvest Party at Kerr Cellars from 2pm-5pm. Be among the first group of people to enjoy Kerr Cellars fall release wines and mingle with other wine lovers during the best time to visit Napa Valley! Tickets are $150 for this event, and they are limited so make sure to grab them soon and head over to Kerr Cellars for this fun and exciting event.

Next, on September 9th, you can visit HALL Wines for their annual harvest celebration! The main event takes place from 12pm-2:30pm, with tickets priced at $150 per person. This annual celebration is one for the books, so don’t miss out on the fun and experience of tasting their one of a kind wines.

Now, for one of Napa’s most sensational events of the season, is the V. Sattui Annual Harvest Ball! On September 16th, they will be celebrating their 37th year of this soiree that is as lavish and exciting as it sounds. From their selection of highly-acclaimed wines, culinary delights, and world-class entertainment…you won’t want to miss the biggest party of the year! Arrive in your best black-tie attire and from 5:30pm-11pm, take in the magical sights of the vineyard, and enjoy a multi-course gourmet meal. Tickets for this event are $335 for non-members, so plan ahead and get ready to experience a night unlike any other.

September 23rd is the Autumn Winemaker Dinner hosted at Elizabeth Spencer Winery. Taking place from 6pm-9pm, enjoy their winemaker dinner beneath the twinkling stars of Napa Valley. Experience an array of exceptional Cabernet Sauvignons, while enjoying a perfectly matched fall dinner. Tickets are $225 per person, or $200 for club members, so if this is something that sparks your interest be sure to check it out soon.

Join the Harvest Celebration at Mark Herold Wines on September 30th from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Toast to another Harvest Season as the sun sets over the vines, and sip on their delicious wine paired with some yummy food options too! Tickets are $125 per person, with lower prices available to club members.

Moving into October, there are still quite a few events to celebrate Harvest Season around the Napa Valley. Check out the Cuvaison Estate Wines for their Behind the Cellar Door: A Harvest Experience where you can gain a more in depth knowledge of their harvest, and even crush a few grapes yourself. After an exciting afternoon of activities, sit back and relax with a dinner paired with a selection of their most prized wines. This event lasts from 1pm-7pm and the price is $185 per person, so be sure to check out this one of a kind experience.

Finally, the V. Sattui Winery is hosting a Crush Party on October 13th from 6pm-9:30pm, and it is exactly how it sounds. Get the experience to crush some grapes and get a behind-the-scenes look of how their winery operates. You can also enjoy live music, food from their live-fire Tuscan grill and wood-fired pizza ovens, as well as tasting over 45 wines. Tickets are $175 for non-members and $140 for their members. Time to get stomping!
