Created in 2008 by a local nonprofit, the Napa Valley Vine Trail is 12 miles long and is perfect for walking, biking, and enjoying the outdoors with your dog. This 12 mile trail runs from South Napa to Yountville. But overall, the Napa Valley Vine Trail covers 47 miles from Calistoga to the Vallejo Ferry Terminal.

How to Plan Your Bike Adventure

There are several ways to experience this trail, and you can cater this experience to fit the needs of you and your group. If you are looking for a shorter route, you can start in Downtown Napa and head a couple blocks south to find the paved trail. This trail will take you 2.5 miles out of Downtown, totaling 5 miles roundtrip. On this trail, you can stop at the Oxbow Public Market for lunch or a treat while overlooking the Napa river.

If you are looking for a longer route to take, you would go north from Downtown Napa to Yountville. This route is 20 miles roundtrip, and runs along Highway 29.
